Hello Everyone!
Today I went for a simple all black outfit, but with a leopard pop. Every time I wear anything leopard print I obsessively have to match it with something else leopard print in my outfit. I have no idea why… but I just need to! I thought this time my matchy matchy leo print turned out pretty cool, I like how the tights go down and sort of blend into the heel of my wedge. I feel like I can get away with being so matchy since the rest of my outfit is fairly simple, so this quirky accent can be worked in without looking tacky. I also always thought it’d be really unattractive to pair a dress over tights, but it works out pretty well when it’s a sheer dress you’re layering with. This would probably look cool with a sleeveless body suit too if you have one!
So I am reviewing this product, Kevin Murphy’s Color Bug. It’s basically a powder pad that you rub onto your hair to create an ombre effect. Well, it took me less than 5 min to cover all of my hair, I do highly suggest that you wear a towel around your neck and over your clothing so that it doesn’t get stained, because it’s a tad bit messy. Then massage it into your hair like crazy! It’ll make the color a lot less bright and more pastel, much more wearable. The product does rub off from your head and onto furniture and other places your mom doesn’t want stained… so if you’re going to wear this head out of the house and do something fun with friends so you can stain things that aren’t your with your pretty pastel hair :3 It washes out as soon as you apply water to it, so it is a one wear dye. Using enough product to get coverage over my entire head used up about half of the product. Also, on my orange ends the pink turned a pretty peachy color, and on my upper half of hair which is still dark brown the pink turned a vivid grape color.
So, basically I’ll give it a 5/5 on the quality of the color. A 4/5 on the ease of using the product. I’ll give it a 3/5 for durability considering it stains anything you lie your head on too easily. Oh and the price of the product is about 25$. Do I think it’s worth 25$? Maybe, for just wearing to go out with friends and fun events, and if I used it more sparingly. If you used this just for the ends of your hair or just strips of your hair, you could probably make this stuff last a good couple of months. I mean honestly it is a pretty good pigmented and easy fun way to change up your hair. So I would use it again.
So there you have it!!!
I can also make a review video on techniques of how to use it if you’d all like, just comment below :3
