In Your Wildest Dreams is a consignment store full of vintage picks from every era throughout the century. This 3 floor vintage treasure chest is located in my hometown of Bakersfield, CA downtown on 18th street right across from the landmark stop The Padre Hotel. It’s always a fun place to look through when you are downtown or are in need of a unique costume! Most of the items cost a pretty penny, but they do have a room full of goodies for 5$. 95% of the items are in perfect condition and have no smell or wear, which is amazing when looking for vintage finds. Although I like stopping by from time to time to browse, the only time I actually bought clothes here is when my ex-friend would give me 50% plus discounts on anything I wanted. I remember scoring a pair of GUESS acid washed high waist pants for all of 4$. And a very 80’s Dolly Partner-esque lavender dress for 5 bucks! I am frugal and like to dig for unique items in cheap thrift stores, but In Your Wildest Dreams is a great place to go if you have the budget, prefer a clean atmosphere, and are searching for something specific. The ground floor is clothing/jewelry/accessories/books, the basement is discounted home decor/sewing supplies/accessories, and the top floor is furniture. The beautiful two piece I am wearing is from Hedonia. It’s my go to dress for any spring time event or date. This dress inhibits the perfect blend of class and sexiness. AND… it happened to match my hair so perfectly! That’s what I have been into lately, coordinating the bright colors of my hair with my outfit.
