In September of 2016, Simon Outlets contacted me to come out to their ‘For the Love of Shoes Event’ at Ontario Mills. The event encouraged people to bring new or gently used shoes to donate to Soles4Souls. By donating a pair of shoes, people also had the opportunity to enter to win a $500 gift card! Mall visitors were also able to watch a fashion show featuring UNIQLO clothing and shoes that screamed fall trends.
Ontario Mills is a very large mall that is chic and up to date. I love all of the effort put into making this event beautiful and exciting!
I chose to wear my new pair of boots from Ego Official. These shoes really stood out from the crowd!
One of my favorite things about being a fashion blogger is getting to meet other people just as passionate about personal style! Vicky is amazing and I’m so glad that I was able to share this experience with her. 🙂 She is very chic, pretty, and nice. And, her instagram feed is awesome~ Her blog: Fashion by Vicky
I don’t know who this boy is, but he was the most entertaining to watch the whole afternoon! He gave so much attitude and modeled the clothing so well. Comment his name if you know him! (or any of the other models)
I did not realize this girl was a fashion blogger until I got back home and prowled the event via social media. She is the owner of the blog Style Riot and has a popular instagram account. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to interact with the models since Vicky and I were busy working as media for the event.
Ontario Mills Fall Fashion Shoe Trends
Simon Outlets hired me to attend the Ontario Mills event and interact with customers. My job was to find 4 people with fashionable shoes in 2 hours to take photos of on the pedestal. In return the person received a $25 gift card. I originally thought that it would be a piece of cake, but I forgot how hesitant people can be when approached at an event! A lot of people did not have the time, felt suspicious, or were too embarrassed to get in front of the camera. Regardless, Vicky and I were both able to pull it off within the time constraint. 🙂
This was the first girl that I approached because I loved her style! I was most drawn to her hair beads and nose ring. <3 She was so friendly and a natural model. 🙂 I love the way she paired gladiator sandals with a short boho dress!
This lady looked so chic and put together I had to take a photo of her outfit! She was a bit hesitant, but I convinced her. 🙂 I love the patent texture of her ballet flats.
PENNY LOAFERS!!! This girl laughed at me when I told her I loved her shoes because she had just borrowed them from a friend after work. Haha. She probably had on heels while she was working! That’s the sweet comfort of a good pair of loafers.
THIS GIRL WAS TOO CUTE. I had asked her in the first hour to take a photo and was disappointed that she rejected me. Her boyfriend was trying to encourage her, but she was just very shy. I understand shyness so I decided not to pry and let them go. Before the event was ending I saw them in the area, so my public relations lady and I took the opportunity to ask again! This time she said yes and got her gift card. Her and her boyfriend were so so nice! I hope that they see this post one day and how lovely she looked. 🙂 She definitely earned the cutest shoes of the day award <3
My outfit focused on comfort and a boho theme. It’s a practical outfit that still has some edge to it. The shirt is vintage and jeans are Bullheads from PacSun.
I hope you all loved this post and hopefully I get to travel to more events like this! Being a blogger never gets boring. 🙂 <3
