Hello Friends,

Today’s outfit is glam, girly, chic, and artsy while remaining casual enough to be worn as an everyday outfit. Shelfies was kind enough to send me over this Great Wave off Kanagawa tee to style today. The original painting is a stunning, classic work of art and so I felt the need to honor this by making an equally as eye catching, classy, beautiful outfit. Peach and blue look magical together, so I added this Forever 21 champagne sequin jacket to play up the color story and add some glam. The sequins and sparkles instantly add magic to the outfit, appearing to be a glistening, crashing wave itself. I chose a black circle skirt paired with a slim belt, and simple black heels to keep this outfit girly and chic without looking over-dressed. The most important part of this outfit for me is movement. My entire outfit is inspired by the Great Wave off Kanagawa from the draping of my jacket to the waves created by the skirt itself.~

While working at Forever 21 I received so many complaints from customers, young and old, about how they love sequins, furs, and beading on clothing but it is always ‘just too much’ to ever wear day to day. People become so intimidated by anything that appears fancy, when really these pieces are easy to mix into an everyday wardrobe with the right styling. Everyone deserves to feel gorgeous in whatever catches their eye, fear no article of clothing. Be your bad self with no excuse! ♥
