This week I collaborated with Wella to test their Color Tango haircolor and Clairol’s iThrive color vibrancy system. Last month Heather, a coworker of mine at the salon, colored my hair auburn. I received Wella Color Tango in ‘Honey Blonde 9B’ along with two developers, one a 20 and the other a 30. Since I love the auburn, we came up with the perfect way to blend in the blonde. Heather took small strips of my hair in rows and bleached them for 30 minutes or so. She then rinsed the bleach out and then went back to the chair where she added the honey blonde color all over. We used the 20 developer since we wished to keep the integrity of my hair.

We then washed the Wella Color Tango out of my hair using Clairol’s iThrive shampoo and conditioner. It smells so great! Our coworker April walked past the washing bowl and instantly fell in love with the scent! She was like, “What is that stuff!?”
You know when you smell something and can’t help but smile? That’s how I felt when I smelled this!
Before & After Wella Color Tango:
The results are in!!! I absolutely love the outcome of this collaboration. Heather did such a great job incorporating the honey blonde alongside my copper hair. I really like the deminsion that it adds. My hair is now about an inch shorter too, but I didn’t do anything with my bangs. I think I may want to go even shorter next time. 🙂
In person, this hair color reminds me a lot of my mom’s hair as a child. She had really cute strawberry blonde hair that was naturally bleached from playing out in the sun. I’m definitely into the auburn hues and think that I may stick to this for awhile. <3 You can view all of the different hair colors and styles I have had over the past year in this post linked. 🙂
